Herbion's research and development division is well equipped with up-to-date facilities including laboratory scale machines and quality control instruments. New formulations are developed after a vigilant study of ingredients, conducted by qualified experts in the respective fields, who go through several pharmacopeias, authentic reference materials and consultations with leading scientists working in various renowned scientific research institutes in Pakistan and in foreign countries. The pilot batches are then produced in state of the art product development facilities. After conducting rigorously designed in-house testing procedures, the products are sent for toxicological studies on animals to reputed scientific institutions. After obtaining satisfactory results, clinical trials are arranged in different medical institutions. Subsequently, positive feedback from clinical trials leads to products being finally recommended for commercial production and then to post marketing clinical trials in different countries.
